Required Qualifications

- Minimum of High school diploma or GED.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Complete initial training satisfactorily. This includes readings with comprehension checks and skills modeling.
- Register as a behavior technician through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board within 6 months of hire. This includes 40 hours of online modules training and an exam.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs on a consistent basis or a child who weighs less than 1/3 of your total body weight.
- Ability to bend over to pick up items, stand, and sit on flat surfaces for long periods of time (you will be keeping pace with toddlers most of the day!)
- Ability to make quick decisions and maintain composure in a fast paced work environment!
- Willingness to train to respond to emergency situations and aggressive behaviors.
Preferred qualifications

- Experience with children age 1-10 years
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental delays
- Experience with individuals who have an autism spectrum disorder
- Experience implementing applied behavior analysis protocols
Responsibilities
-
- Implement treatment protocols designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with children with autism
- Protocols may include language building, social skills, adaptive living skills, and reducing problem behavior
- Collect and summarize behavioral data
- Implement feedback delivered during live supervision and from written evaluations
- Satisfactorily pass treatment integrity checks and ongoing evaluations
- Attend additional in service trainings
- Complete daily documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Complete other responsibilities around the clinic, including, but not limited to, creating materials, preparing for group programming, and light cleaning
